From the Pastor

On Sunday, May 6th, two young people in our congregation will
step through a significant milestone in their journey of faith.
They will stand before God and our
congregation and:
·
Publicly
acknowledge the grace of God at work in their lives,
·
Confess Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior and Lord,
·
Declare their
intent to continue in the teachings of the Scripture,
·
Pledge their
commitment to the Lutheran faith and to this congregation,
·
State their
intent to make regular use of the Means of Grace
(God’s Word and Sacrament),
·
Affirm their
desire and willingness to let their life and conduct be guided by God’s Word.
In short, they
will become confirmed members of Christ Lutheran Church.
Jesus said:
“Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before
my father in heaven”
This is a special day not only for the
Confirmands, who will publicly acknowledge Jesus, but also for their parent and
grandpaents, Sunday School teachers, mentors, Pastor and all who have taught
and guided them along the way thus far.
As fellow members of the Body of Christ, we
give thanks to God for His grace to Kalee and Kylee which has brought them to
this point.
We also joyfully welcome
them into the communicant life of the family of God here in this place.
Please pray for these girls to continue
growing in their faith and knowledge of our Savior and Lord, and encourage them
in every opportunity you have to see them and speak with them.
Peace
in Christ, Pastor Einem
